Alton Hale

April 30, 1921 — August 31, 2015

My delightful 94 year-old Dad made his transition back to Heaven on August 31, 2015. He was more than just my Dad...he was a best friend. After my Mom made her transition in 2000, he and I went to many of his Military Reunions together an I was given the GIFT of meeting many remarkable men who served our Country in WWII and the Korean War. Dad and I also had a fun adventure traveling around Germany in a friend's adorably cute convertible Mercedes, as well. WOW...we sure had a GREAT time. He was a devoted husband, father and friend. He and my Mom were married 55 years at the time of her passing in 2000. Because of his 26 years in the Air Force and his Civil Service assignments, we got to live in Texas, Florida, Germany, Maine, Massachusetts and California. All these moves made my Dad a very social person. He loved people and they loved him. He had a tremendous JOY for life and found delight in everything he did. He loved to laugh and had an incredible sense of humor. About a year and a half after my Mom passed, my Dad was fortunate enough to reconnect with a long-time friend whose husband Dad had worked with on several occasions during his time in the Air Force. It turns out her husband had made his transition several years before. When they got together, laughter was heard around the world. They were like two teenagers exploring an exciting new relationship. They held hands and smiled from ear-to-ear. My Dad was blessed to find Lil and feel tremendous love, joy and respect for the rest of his life. Actually, they were both blessed in that they shared MUTUAL love, trust and respect. Dad was loved and respected be two amazing women, one after the other, for his entire life. How does it get any better than that...? Dad truly lived life to the fullest and was the happiest person I know...and i was blessed to be his daughter. With tremendous love and appreciation, Stephanie
