She is survived by her two children: Danna Jean Metzger Riordan (James David Riordan) of Carefree, AZ and Bradley Lane Metzger (Dana Lynn Puffer Metzger) of Park Ridge, IL; sister Jean Meredith Lane Smith, of Eagle, Idaho, sister-in-law, Jane Dee Metzger of Coram, NY; four grandchildren; Meredith Jean Riordan Stephens (James Patrick Stephens), Daniel Lane Riordan, Chase Reed Metzger, Ciena Lane Metzger, two great grandchildren Olivia James Stephens, Paige Jean Stephens. Her husband Daniel Robert Metzger and parents, Alfred Naughton Lane and Meredith Reed Lane and brother in-law, Franklin Alfred Metzger, predeceased Bev.

Naughton and Meredith Lane raised their two daughters, Beverly and Jean in Ladue, MO. Beverly attended Old Bonhomme Elementary School. Bev was in the first full graduating class of Ladue High School, graduating in 1955, after being selected as its Football Queen her senior year. Her beloved little sister Jean often joked, "I didn't have a name in high school, I was always just Beverly's little sister".

Bev went on to Colorado Women's College where she earned an associate degree. While attending school in Denver she was set up on a blind date with Daniel Robert Metzger who had just returned to his hometown of Denver after serving in the U.S. Army. Daniel Metzger Obituary 2018 - Wickenburg (wickenburgfuneralhome.com) It was love at first sight. After graduation from college, Dan and Beverly were married in 1957 at the Ladue Chapel, Ladue, MO. They moved to LaGrange, IL where they lived for 40 years raising their two children Danna and Bradley.

Beverly was a sports enthusiast with a particular fondness for golf, tennis, skiing, horses and more golf. As a four-time women's club champion, she leveraged her successful competitive club golf experience into chairing golf committees responsible for bringing and running the 1974 and 1981 Women's U.S. Open to LaGrange Country Club. These experiences further developed her passion for the game leading to her volunteering and becoming a Director of the Women's Western Golf Association in 1983 for 41 years. During her time as a Director, Bev was actively involved. She enjoyed working the WW Junior, WW Amateur and chaired several Senior tournaments and Senior awards for many years. However, her two most favorite things were Rules and Bylaws, often driving her family members and playing partners a little crazy as she enjoyed, in good fun, challenging them on their Rules knowledge. Bev also had a passion for genealogy tracing the family history back as far as the 1500's.

Beverly and Dan were married for an amazing 61 years. Caring for and supporting both their immediate and extended family was their priority. Ultimately, they retired in 1995 to Scottsdale, AZ where they designed and built their dream retirement home, open to all and serving as the family anchor for 25 years in the golf community of Desert Mountain.
