Mrs. Catherine Roberts, age 84, passed away peacefully on December 24, 2025.
Born in Detroit, Michigan, Catherine was the daughter of George and Olga Koval. She married the love of her life, Herman Roberts of Grundy, Virginia, on October 6, 1969, in Michigan, and together they built a life filled with devotion, family, and shared adventures.
Catherine was preceded in death by her beloved husband Herman Roberts, her parents George and Olga Koval, and her sister Georgine Mousseau.
She is survived by her children, Debra Greer, Deborah Olson, Herman Dale Roberts, and Timothy Roberts; and her son‑in‑law, Todd Greer. She was a proud grandmother to Bradley Roberts, Brently Roberts, and Kimberly French and her husband Morgan French. Catherine was also blessed with many great‑grandchildren: Daniel French, Esme Roberts, Joseph French, Morgan French, Thomas French, and Ulrich French.
A woman of quiet creativity and gentle joy, Catherine found happiness in the simple and meaningful things. She loved embroidery painting, could often be found with a good book in hand, or praying her rosary, and delighted in watching her favorite shows-Golden Girls, Murder, She Wrote, and Diagnosis Murder. Catherine also cherished traveling, especially the trips she took with her daughter and grandchildren, creating memories that will be treasured for generations.
