LAUBENTHAL - Cecilia Jane, passed away peacefully the afternoon of May 2, 2026 at St. Joseph's

Hospital & Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona after a short illness. Cecilia was born in Cleveland, Ohio on

June 2, 1935, the second eldest of four children born to Henry and Eva (nee Matisko) Eizember.

Cecilia met Harold A. Laubenthal (predeceased in 2017) at a dance and quickly fell in love, became best

friends, and were married on August 18, 1951. Cecilia and Harold had seven children, Therese, Thomas

(Alison), Timothy (predeceased in 2007, Sandra), Robert (Jeannie), Renee (Tim), Raymond (Patty,

predeceased in 2025) and David (Nancy), and 15 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

In 1985 Cecilia and Harold began wintering in Wickenburg and later became permanent residents in 1989

and moved into their home at Country Club Acres where they entertained their many dear friends and

family. Cecilia was quite active in retirement volunteering for St. Anthony's and local charities, playing golf,

cooking for friends, and belonged to the Wickenburg Country Club.

The funeral Mass and memorial service will be held at St. Anthony's on Tuesday May 19, 2026 at 10:00AM,

followed by a reception for family and friends. In lieu of flowers, please send any donations to St. Anthony's

Building Fund or the Knights of Columbus.
