Dannie Koenig

Dannie Lee Koenig, a long time resident of Wickenburg, passed to eternal life Monday July 20th at the age of 75. He is survived by 4 children; son Scott and Michelle Koenig of Eastvale, CA, daughters Roberta and Gary Benjamin of Prescott, AZ, Randi and Ed Meltzer of Prescott Valley, AZ, and Teri and Mark Bittinger of Belgrade, MT. He also has 14 grandkids and 9 great-grandkids and many loving nieces, nephews and extended family. Dannie was born April 17, 1940 in Whitehall, IL to Daniel and Helen Koenig. He was passionate about sports and spending time with his family. He served our country in the U.S. Navy as an Electricians Mate from 1958-1962. He then worked many years as a sheet metal worker in California until his retirement in the early 1990's. Shortly thereafter Dannie and Ann Marie made Wickenburg their new home. His death is preceded by his parents and his wife Ann Marie Koenig (1999) and sisters Doris Summers and Ruth Lindsey. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 24, 2015 at 9:00 AM at Wickenburg Funeral Home with interment to follow in the Wickenburg Municipal Cemetery.
