Dave Dotson

Dave Edward Dotson of Wickenburg, Arizona passed away on July 10, 2016. He was born in Williams, Az on November 10, 1931 to Harley James and Thelma Arizona Holland Dotson.

Dave grew up in and around Wickenburg, living on the Hassayampa he was the epitome of a true cowboy, being a cowboy was his life, culture and passion. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed training and hunting with hounds. He was very proud of his country and joined the Navy during the Korean Conflict. After he served he came back to Arizona and married Francis Darlene Davenport on June 11, 1955. They were married until Darlene passed away March 2012. Dave retired from Cyprus Bagdad Copper as a heavy duty mechanic and a ranch foreman.

Dave is survived by his 4 children; Donna(Scott) Mathis, Wade(Pat) Dotson, Karen Dotson, Denise(Berry) Batterton, 9 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and his sister Nora Murphy of Chino Valley, Arizona. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Darlene, brothers Walter, Bill, Bobby, Richard and sister Ruth Dilley

Funeral services will be held Saturday July 16, 2016 at 11:00 am at the Wickenburg Ward Chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Wickenburg, AZ.
