Donna Mae Smith, age 83 was born on August 18, 1938 in Racine, Wisconsin to her parents Gilbert and Mildred Lloyd, and graduated to Heaven from a respiratory illness on January 26, 2022. At the tender age of 16, Donna married the love of her life Bobby Glenn Hughes and together they raised their four children in Southern California. After losing Bob to a heart attack in 1988, Donna moved to Wickenburg, Arizona to be close to family where she eventually met and married Larry Dale Smith and the two soon moved to Hemet, California where they were wed. Larry and Donna enjoyed camping and socializing with friends. Donna returned to Wickenburg to live out her life after Larry succumbed to a major stroke.
Donna had a unique sense of humor and wit, sometimes catching people off-guard, and resulting in a surprised chuckle or two. During these past few years Donna lived with her beloved dog 'Cookie' in a tiny cottage across the alley behind Rancho Bar 7 Restaurant, where she connected with the staff and regular customers who frequented there. In particular, Steve and Dennis touched her life by stopping by to assist her with tasks around her home, gifting her with visits and meals from the restaurant.
She is preceded in death by her first husband Bobby Glenn Hughes; her second husband Larry Dale Smith; her parents Gilbert and Mildred Lloyd, and Sister Gail Benci-Brown; Granddaughters Misty Musick Sanchez, and Shannon Musick; Grandson Michael Musick; and Great Grandsons Lincoln and Liam Snyder.
