Dorthy Steele

Dorthy Irene Steele, age 72, passed away April 8, 2017 at her home in Aguila, Arizona. She was born November 17, 1944 in Jefferson City, Missouri to Floyd & Mildred Middleton. The family moved to California and eventually came to Arizona in the 1960's settling in Aguila where she met and married Raymond Steele. They made their home in Aguila and Dorthy was primarily a homemaker and mother. She worked for many years as a retail clerk at Jim's Market in Aguila and later at the Aguila Post Office. Dorthy was involved in the community and served on the Aguila Fire Board and was a member of the Women's Club. She was very involved with the grandchildren at school and assisted with the Headstart Program and volunteering at many other school activities. Dorthy was an animal lover, especially eagles. She was fascinated with eagles and their strength and beauty, collecting everything eagle. She was preceded in death by her husband Raymond Birt Steele, father and mother Floyd & Mildred Middleton, a sister Linda Smith, and great-grandchild Hayden Selph. Dorthy is survived by son & daughter in law, Raymond & Betty Steele of Aguila and son John also of Aguila. Grandchildren: Savanna Steele (William Foraker), Maranda Steele ( James Selph),Lillian Hunter, Breanna Wheeler, Ashleigh Russell

( Michael), William Billy Loveall (Rebecca Turner), Jay Jay Steele, and Zachary Steele. Great-grandchildren: Sedona Steele, Letty Foraker , Payton Selph, Bradley Russell, Landon Russell & Grayson Loveall.

Memorial services will be held on Wednesday April 12th at 11:00 AM at the Community Bible Church in Aguila
