Emily Head

Emily June Head was born June 23, 1941 in Lavina, Montana to Art Meisner and Marjorie Downey Meisner. She was raised there and later moved to Nevada. She married Lewis M. Head on June 6, 1941 in Las Vegas, NV and they made their home in Blythe, CA where Lewis worked for Southern California Gas Co. Emily was primarily a homemaker. They transferred to Moor Park, CA in 1977 and in 1979 they built a cabin in Colorado and began spending the summers in Colorado. They came to Yarnell in the 1990's and would winter in Yarnell and summer in Colorado. Emily was an avid card player. Some would say quite smooth and she played often in various groups in Congress and Yarnell. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. Emily was preceded in death by her husband Lewis in 2005 and a granddaughter Audrey in 1984. She is survived by her sons, Marvin of Ninilchik, Alaska and Lester of Tuscon, AZ. Grandchildren: Abby Charfauros (Jeremy), Nathan Head (Morgan), Joshua Head and Alex Head. Great-grandchildren: Evan & Josh Charfauros. Services will be held on Sunday, January 24th at 11:00 AM at the American Legion Hall in Yarnell.
