Gilbert Rivera Luna passed away peacefully on November 30, 2021



He was born in Blythe California on December 5, 1919 he was a Native American descendent of the Papago's, he would have been 102 years.



Gilberto in his younger years joined the military, after he left, he worked in the oil fields in Veracruz Mexico where he worked as an interpreter, he then moved to Guaymas Sonora Mexico where he worked as a sport fishing guide, as well as combining his time between Sonora and California as he was working at the Rancho Santa Fe, after retirement he moved to Wickenburg, making it his final home. Gilberto was a member of Saint Anthony of Padua church where he would assist every weekend until his wife passed away. He enjoyed playing bingo and watching classic movies as well as fishing. Gilberto was preceded in death by his wife Cointa Rivera; Father Fortunato Rivera, mother Susana Luna; brothers Alberto Rivera, Francisco Ortega; sisters Ernestina Rivera, Billie Rivera, & Dora Agundez, Gilberto was the youngest of 5 children.



He is survived by his daughter Guadalupe Lopez Estrada; Son Vicente Lopez Estrada; his nephew Tony Rivera Padayhag (Alva), Nieces and nephews Linda, Tico, Ginger, Ismael, Susana, Francisco Jr. Alberto Rivera Jr. & Steven Rivera; Grandchildren Vicente Napoles (Claudia) Gabriela Acuna (Fernando) Guadalupe Napoles Lopez (Angel Arturo) Daniel Napoles Lopez (Maria) Marco Antonio Napoles Lopez, Rigoberto Lopez, Susana Lopez Arellano (Fausto), Elizabeth Lopez Arellano, Vicente Lopez Arellano+ (Irene), Jesus Lopez Arellano (Rocio), Maria Magdalena Lopez Arellano (Jesus) Miguel Lopez Arellano (Victoria) , Gabriel Esteban Lopez Arellano (Dulce), Cointa Lopez, Concepcion Lopez, Paola Lopez, Alberto Lopez, and numerous great grandchildren as well as great-great grandchildren.



Memorial Services will be held by Wickenburg Funeral Home a mass in his honor will be held on January 15, 2022 at 10:00 am, Celebration of his Life will take place after mass at Coffinger
