Dr. Harry C. Kennedy, Jr. of Wickenburg, Arizona passed away on Sunday, July 30, 2017.
Harry was born in Oil City on June 8, 1925, a son of the late Harry C. Kennedy, Sr and Janet Allison Kennedy.
He attended Grove City College and Auburn University and graduated from Philadelphia School of Optometry in 1950.
Harry joined his older brother William and their father as third generation optometrists in the family optometric business. The business was started by their grandfather, William M. Kennedy in 1898. He practiced in Oil City and Titusville from 1950 and retired in 1986.
On November 9, 1951 Harry married June L. Clifford of Van, Pa.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years and their 3 children, Dr. Scott Kennedy (Babette), of Titusville, Pa., Jill Kennedy Preciado (Patrick) of Cottonwood, Arizona, and Harry Kennedy, lll (Sally) of Colorado Springs, Colorado., 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held in Arizona at a later date.
