Jacquelyn Gerke

Jacquelyn Gerke, 87, died March 31, 2015 at her home in Morristown. Mrs. Gerke was born in Eau Claire, Wis., and graduated Summa Cum Laude in 1949 from the University of Wisconsin at Eau Claire. She was a high school teacher, chemist at U. S. Rubber, business owner, and seamstress for 35 years. Mrs. Gerke moved to Arizona in 1992 from Scappoose Oregon. She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, where she was involved in several ministries. Mrs. Gerke is survived by a son, Steve of Clackamas, Oregon; a daughter, Paula Beatty of Gresham, Oregon; and five grandchildren. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9 am on Friday April 10, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 232 N. Tegner St., with a short reception to follow. Internment will be at Sunland Memorial Park 15826 N. Del Webb Blvd in Sun City, AZ.
