James Robert "Jim" German, age 69, passed away February 6, 2016 in Sun City West, Arizona. Jim was born October 31, 1946 in Canton, Illinois to Charles German and Mildred Coons German. He was raised in Farmington, Il and attended schools there.
He later graduated from the University of Norte Dame with a B.A. in Business. He received his CPA and began working with Peabody Coal Company where he had worked in various locations during his employ with the company. He had lived in Flagstaff, AZ, Price, Utah and Colstrip, Montana. Jim was a member of the Lions International and also had served as member and treasurer of the School House History and Art Center in Colstrip. He moved to Arizona in 2005 settling in Wickenburg. Jim began working with Remuda Ranch as Account Supervisor, which he did for 5 years. He was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church and served as treasurer of the Church. He enjoyed bowling, golf and was an avid sports fan with Arizona Coyotes, Chicago Bears and the Chicago White Sox. Jim is survived by his wife Colann German of Wickenburg, children: Tara German (Michael McGuinn) of Berthoud, CO., Geoffrey ( Melinda) German of Chandler, AZ., Dylan German of Jamestown, ND., Amanda Dige of Minneapolis, MN., and Paul Dige of Phoenix, AZ., sister Jane German of El Paso, TX., and grandchildren: Carys McGuinn, Easton Jensen-Quinonez and Alexander Davis.
Memorial services will be held on Sunday, February 14th at 1:00 PM at Redeemer Lutheran Church.
