Jeannette P. Walters, age 98, passed away in Phoenix, Arizona on March 4, 2014. She was born June 11, 1915 in Spanish Fork, Utah to Joseph W. Pearson and Mary Alice McLean Pearson. She married Carl Walters in 1932 in Prescott and they made their home in the Wickenburg area later moving to Bagdad where she has lived most of her life. Jeannette was primarily a mother and homemaker but worked for years as a postal clerk in Bagdad. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and very active serving in various capacities during her life. She as an avid genealogist and loved researching family history. Jeannette enjoyed reading, baking and gardening. Many have enjoyed her cooking. She was preceded in death by her husband Carl in 1981, her parents, a son Paul in 1934 and daughter Kathryn Hunt in 2008, as well as brothers: Edward, Bill and Jack Pearson and sisters: Mary and Joyce and grandchildren: Melissa Taylor, Dave Stangle and Michael Stangle. She is survived by son Jack ( Joanne) Walters of Chino Valley, daughter Sue Stangle of Phoenix, brother Ben (Kathryn) Pearson of Phoenix and grandchildren: Sherrie Goodman, Shelly Walters, Stacey McNichols, Carl Hunt, Craig Stangle, Sara Pontrelli, Shawna Schwarzmann, Todd Stangle and Jim Stangle, 21 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the Wickenburg Ward Chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints with visitation prior to services from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in the Wickenburg Municipal Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions in Jeannette's name be made to Hospice of the Valley at 1510 E.
