Joe Wayne Bishop, born to Harold and Norma Bishop. Wife, Brenda Joyce, married 47 years, Son Dwane (Renee), Grandchildren, Shelby (24) and Sabrina (22), Siblings, Ann, John (Debbie), and Michael (Linda)
Born in Fort Supply, Oklahoma 7/18/1939. Moved to Portland, Oregon at age 5, attended Lintton Elementary School, David Douglas High School, and then joined the Navy (1958-1962). He then followed the love of his life to Phoenix, Arizona in 1967. Joe and Brenda were married 2/27/1971. Dwane was born in August 1969. They lived in Wickenburg since March 1971. Joe worked for Maricopa County as a Dozer Operator, then worked for Wheeler Construction for 28 years. Joe loved hunting and fishing! He enjoyed many vacations with Brenda, including RV'ing to many states and 2 cruises to Alaska. He was a pilot, a silversmith, and loved woodworking and remote control planes.
Joe was a huge family man; family always came first. He will be missed by all the family, some friends he considered brothers and all the many friends he had. He has left all of us with many memories to cherish. Rest easy "Papa Joe" until we see you again!
Services will be Saturday, April 28, 2018 at Wickenburg Funeral Home at 10 AM, with food and fellowship to follow at Coffinger Park after the service.
