Joy Lewis

Joy Eleanor Lewis was born September 18, 1938 in Basin, Wyoming to Leonard and Barbara Michaels. She was raised in Burlington, Wyoming and it was there that she met her high school sweetheart, Reuben L. Lewis. They married in 1956, and made their home in Cody, WY where they raised four children; Aquina, Reuben, Anita and Randy. In 1975 Reuben and Joy moved to Wickenburg because of Reuben's health. Joy went to work for the Wickenburg Chamber of Commerce and played on local bowling leagues at the Wickenburg Bowling Alley. Joy was preceded in death by her husband of 28 years, Reuben, in 1983. In later years she also worked with her son, Reuben, at Screamer's Drive In, in Wickenburg, which is where she met her long time companion, Joe Prontock. Joy passed away peacefully at her home in Wickenburg on March 12, 2016. She is survived by her sister; Essie Torres, her four children; Aquina (Randy)

Babcock, Reuben (Diane) Lewis, Anita (Oscar) Chavarria, Randy (Joyce) Lewis, seven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and her little dog, Shadow. No services will be held.
