Katherine Aldred

Katherine Q. Aldred, age 87, passed away November 25, 2017 in Wickenburg, Arizona.

She was born and raised in Baltimore,Maryland and attended schools there.

Following her schooling Katherine began working at a law office. She moved west to Arizona in the early 1960's. She met and married Russ Aldred and they made their home in Forepaugh and later moved into Wickenburg. Katherine worked at Luke Airforce Base for over 20 years and later worked as a bookkeeper for McKeever's Ace Hardware and Ben's Saddlery. She was a member of Las Damas for years. Katherine was a mother and grandmother and very involved in the children and grandchildren's activities. She was an avid sports fan and loved the Diamondbacks, Phoenix Suns and the Cardinals.

She always told the grandkids, " You can't hit the ball if you don't swing the bat"

She was preceded in death by her husband Russ in 1990 and a daughter Susan Aldred in 2007, brother John Henry Quesenbery and a sister Martha Elizabeth Leftridge. Katherine is survived by her daughter Jan Lamont of Texas, a sister Margaret Quesenbery and brother Lonnie Ray Quesenbery both of Maryland and grandchildren: Justin Aldred, Seth Aldred, Jesse Brown and Jacqueline Andrae. A memorial mass will be celebrated on Friday, December 1, 2017 at 10:00 AM at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church with interment to follow in the Wickenburg Municipal Cemetery.
