Marjorie Hastie

Marjorie Jean Hastie, age 52, passed away October 4, 2012 in Phoenix, Arizona. Marjorie was born November 26, 1959 in Britt, Iowa to Lee A. Hildebrand and Carol Henmingsen Hildebrand. She was raised there and attended schools in that area. She graduated from Dexfield High School in Redfield, Iowa with the Class of 1978. She later pursued her education in the nursing field becoming a registered nurse. She married Dennis Hastie on April 6, 1980 in Dexter, Iowa. Marjorie had worked in various capacities as a nurse but preferred home healthcare because of her compassionate nature. She came to Wickenburg, Arizona in 2005 and began working with Remuda Ranch. She was a member of Las Damas, the Wickenburg Horseman's Association where she had served as Secretary and the Wickenburg Trail Commission as well as the Wickenburg Conservation Committee. Marjorie was an avid mule rider and loved riding the trails in the Wickenburg area and had led many a ride with others. She was preceded in death by her father, Lee Hildebrand in 2005. Marjorie is survived by her husband of 32 years, Dennis of Wickenburg, mother Carol Hildebrand of Sun City, Arizona, brother David (Debra) Hildebrand of Prairie Grove, Arkansas and sisters Laurie (Doug) Pooch of Des Moines, Iowa and Leann Hickman of Phoenix as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins and friends everywhere. The family suggests memorials be made in Marjorie's memory to the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund at ocrf.org Memorial services will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2012 at 1:00 PM at the Community Alliance Church in Wickenburg.
