Mavis Carter

Margaret Mavis Carter, age 97, passed away September 8, 2017 in Youngtown, Arizona. Mavis was born February 7, 1920 to Curtis & Lula Jones in Innisfail, Alberta, Canada. She married George Carter and they moved to Eastern Oregon and later to Colorado. George taught school and Mavis was a homemaker and mother. Then moved to Congress, Arizona in 1985 where they were active in the community. She was preceded by George in 2014. She is survived by her sons Ken (Dorothy) Carter of Mesa, Arizona and Paul (Kathie) Carter of Congress, Arizona and 7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
