With deep sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, Nelva (Nel) Jean Greenleaf (Clark), aged 90. She passed away on July 17, 2024, with her family by her side.
Nel was born on January 15, 1934, in Inavale, Nebraska, where she spent her formative years. Her family moved to Yuma, AZ, for a bit and then to the San Fernando Valley, California, in her teen years. She graduated from Canoga Park High School in 1952. At age 18, she married the love of her life, Howard Bossingham, and they had their only child, Vicki.
As life went on, she was married to her second love, Dana Greenleaf, in 1967.
In her free time, Nel enjoyed sewing, poker, slots, all sports, her dogs, and being an avid horsewoman. More than this, she loved her family beyond words. This love was shown by helping to raise her two grandchildren, Heidi and Mike. She also adored her great-grandchildren and all of their activities. She moved from Reno, Nevada, and has called Wickenburg home for 19 years.
Nel is survived by her loving daughter, Vicki Rabens; her grandchildren, Heidi Mize and her husband Justin and Mike Greenleaf and his wife Teresa; and her seven great-grandchildren, Caleb (21), Maci (19), Matheu (16), Abigail (13), William (11), Blazen (14), and Jaxon (10). Her memory will be cherished by all who knew her, including her best friend, Mary Jane.
A private service will be held for family and close friends. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to K9 Konnection in Wickenburg. We are eternally grateful for everything that Hospice of the Valley provided to her and her family during this time of her life.
