Nickie Salazar

Nickie R. Salazar, age 83, passed away March 9, 2013 in Glendale, Arizona. Nickie was born May 15, 1929 in Cuba, New Mexico to Nick Salazar and Frances Gonzales Salazar. She came to Wickenburg in 1946 from New Mexico. In 1959 she began working at the Rancho Grande Hotel. She was a member of the St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. She is survived by daughters Darlene Duran of Phoenix, Az and Priscilla Duran of Prescott Valley, Az and sons San Duran of Wickenburg, Daniel Duran of Poway, Ca., and Gilbert Duran of Anthem, Az. several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at Wickenburg Funeral Home with Msgr. George Highberger as celebrant. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until service time on Wednesday at the funeral home with interment to follow at the Wickenburg Municipal Cemetery.
