Orval McPherson

Orval "Mac" McPherson, 88, passed away Jan. 2, 2013 in Wickenburg, AZ. He was born July 6, 1924 in Alpina, MI and raised in Pinconning, MI. Served in the U.S. Navy and later enlisted in the U.S. Air Force serving a total of 26 years. Mac came to Arizona in 1960 stationed at Luke AFB. He was a veteran of WWII and following his military service worked at the Veteran's Hospital in Phoenix. Mac was a member of the Veterans of Foreigh Wars and the Disabled American Veterans. He is survived by his wife Carolyn, sons: Shannon McPherson of Phoenix, Doug McPherson of Lake George,Colorado, Danny McPherson of Walla Walla, Washington and Dennis (Deb) McPherson of Kila, Montana and stepson Ralton (Reba) Harris of Louisburg, N.C. and special daughter Lisa Best of Peoria, AZ, brothers Ronnie McPherson of Virginia, Jim McPherson of Tennessee & Raymond McPherson of North Carolina, sisters Lena Riesen and Joanne Moore both of Orlando, Fl., grandchildren: Becky, Terry, Christine, Sheena, Mason & Ethan and 6 great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, Jan 9th at 10 AM at Wickenburg Funeral Home with interment to follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park in Glendale.
