Richard Alfred Couture, age 67 of Wickenburg, AZ passed away peacefully at home with his wife by his side on June 19, 2017. Richard, or "Richie" as many called him, was born on October 19, 1949 in China, ME to Marie Rose Tardiff and Kenneth Couture. Richard was married to Sandra Jane Bucknam on November 18, 1983 in Reno, Nevada. After graduating high school, Richard attended an apprentice program for the carpenter union. He then traveled to Madison, WI where he was the owner of a car wash before moving to Colorado where he worked as a carpenter. In 1977 he was hired on with the Burlington Northern Railroad in Sheridan, WY where he worked until he retired in 2010 to Arizona. Richard enjoyed spending time working with heavy machinery, hunting and fishing in the Big Horn Mountains, four-wheeling, and taking road trips across the country with his wife. Richard was a caring man, who truly loved helping his family and loved ones with any projects they had. Richard is survived in life by his wife Sandra Jane Couture, his father Kenneth Couture, his four siblings Ray (Pam) Couture, Donald (Barbara) Couture, Cathy Simpson, and Cheryl (Duane) Rood, and his two grandchildren Kelsey and Tanner Grant. He was preceded in death by his mother Marie Rose Tardiff, his step-son Kirk Grant, and his two beloved dogs, Biscuit and Rusty. A celebration of life will be held in Sheridan, WY at a date to be determined. Interment will be held in Waterville, ME at a later date to be determined. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Humane Society.
