Rosalio Hernandez Murillo, age 60, of Congress, Arizona passed away on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at 12 Midnight in Surprise, AZ. He was born September 9, 1958 in Rancho "El Giro" Municipio de Penjamo, Guanajuato, Mexico. Rosalio was one of ten siblings, seven boys and three girls. He came to the United States in the late 70's. He settled in Wickenburg and worked in the construction trade for Bill and Diana Garcia for many years, later her worked for the Rickie Family doing the same thing around Arizona and Wyoming, in his final years he worked for Mike Sichi, again the the same field.
He was friendly, honest and a hard-working man. When he arrived to Wickenburg he did not know how to write or read Spanish or English, but his desire to learn was endless and he paid a teacher, from his own earnings to learn how to write and read in both languages and he did it, learning to read and write both English and Spanish. He also became an avid long distance runner, in the company of some local friends, Mike Rodriguez, Cheetah Remijio, and others, and he ran many races across Arizona, running in races with various famous runners of the U.S.A and the world, like Steve Scott, Zola Budd, Alberto Salazar, Mary Decker and many others. After moving from Wickenburg he went to Congress where he also had lots of friends and became a member of the local coffee group there. He loved to hike in the areas around Wickenburg and Congress. Rosalio is survived by his parents Filemon Murillo Rangel and Adalberta Hernandez Olivarez and his brothers and sisters all of them from Guanajuato, Mexico. His friends Mike Rodriguez and Debbie O'Neal and family, Cheetah Remijio and family, Ginny Prevost and family, Bill Garcia and family and Pedro Urias, Felipe Alvarado and family, Mike Sichi and many others. A visitation and services were held on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at Wickenburg Funeral Home.
