Sandra Anne Lobins, age 55, passed away October 1, 2010 in her home at sunset surrounded by family. She was born in Highland Park, Illinois December 21, 1954 to Walter Gregory and Charlotte Jacobson Gregory. Sandra was raised in Wisconsin graduating from Waterford High School in 1972 in Waterford, Wisconsin. After graduating she moved to Arizona for a short period of time before returning to Wisconsin and attending college at the University of Wisconsin, Lacrosse where she met her husband. She married Phil Lobins September 20, 1974 in the old Norway Lutheran Church in Wind Lake, Wisconsin. They lived in the Milwaukee, Wisconsin area until both children were born. Jason Phillip and Sarah Jullian. Sandy and Phil moved to Phoenix in July of 1979 and lived in the Glendale area until finally settling in Wickenburg, Arizona on November 1, 2000 and making it their most favorite place to spend their time together and watching sunsets. Sandy fought a courageous battle with breast cancer for almost 16 years. Her husband Phil said, "She was a very strong and resilient woman whom I have loved with all my heart for over 36 years. She will be missed but always in the hearts of her loved ones and is now with Jesus watching over us. Sandy has always taken care of our home and made everyone who entered feel welcome. Now she has gone to prepare our new home and is waiting for me with open arms and that beautiful smile on her face whenever I was with her. She is still the love of my life and my best friend. It is only by God's strength, our strong belief in Him, and with the support of my family and friends that I will be able to continue on until Sandy and I are together again for eternity". Sandra is survived by her husband Phillip of Wickenburg, Children Sarah Walker (Jason) of Surprise, Arizona and Jason Lobins of Austin, Texas, sister Cynthia Connolly of Appleton, Wisconsin and grandchildren Bailey and Nate Walker. " Please join our family, our friends and myself in saying goodbye yet celebrating the life of my wife and how she touched, inspired and loved all who knew her". Graveside services will be held on Saturday, October 9th at 3:00 PM at Wickenburg Municipal Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions in Sandy's name be made to Parkway Christian Church Children's Ministries-Bible Experience, 14787 W. Cholla Surprise, AZ 85379
