Sandra Marlene Schell, 83, passed away peacefully on June 26, 2026, following a brief battle with cancer.

Sandra loved to travel and treasured the many adventures she experienced throughout her life. For the past 17 years, she made Arizona her home, where she found joy in the beauty of the desert and its peace.

She is lovingly survived by her children, Peggy Sue Hellandsaas, Jody Wayne Leiseth (Melissa), and Carol Lee Ripsam (Joseph); her brother, Ricky Lawlar (Shirlene); 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Iona (Hastings) Lawlar; her daughter, Eloise Marie Schell; her sisters, Eloise Harmon and Andrea Lawlar; son-in-law, Scott Hellandsaas; her granddaughter, Gracie Johnsrud; and her grandson, Aaron Todd Garcia.
