Spurgeon Smith

Spurgeon "Bob" G. Smith, Jr. age 84, passed away on April 6, 2019 in Phoenix, Arizona. He was born in Las Cruces, New Mexico to Spurgeon & Betty Smith. Bob served in the U.S. Navy and later worked in civil service until retiring. He loved the outdoors and was an avid horseman. He and wife DeEtta had moved to Arizona 8 years ago settling in Congress. He was preceded in death by son Ricky Smith in 2018. Bob is survived by his wife DeEtta of Congress, children Robert of Shelton, WA, Kathy Smith Davis of California, Danny Smith of Parkland, WA, stepsons: Bryan, Kevin and David Parker and daughters Debbie Buxton and Diane Sunkel, 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
