Stanley Joe Foster, 78, of Morristown, Arizona passed away peacefully at home on November 3, 2025.
Stan was born on March 18, 1947 in Hannibal, Missouri to Dalton Foster and Bonnie Jean Yohn.
Survivors include his wife Cara Foster, daughter Vicki Foster, son Dean Foster, stepson Shane Duccini, stepdaughter Stacy Duccini, 8 grandchildren, and many cousins. Stan is also survived by 6 brothers Ronald Foster, Doug Yakes, Tim Yakes, Mark Foster, Matthew Foster, and Brett Foster. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother Michael Yakes.
Stan was a business owner and had many businesses; a fence company, a concrete business, had a towing business with government contracts including Border Patrol, IRS, ATF, ICE etc. where he stored seized vehicles and merchandise being brought into the country illegally.
He was an avid motorcycle racer and was well known in the Arizona area for his racing skills. He raced ADRA (Arizona Desert Racing Association) holding first or second place for over 30 years. He raced the Baja 250 in Mexico and placed 2nd and the Baja 500 and took 1st place.
He was a pilot and
built several small planes. He flew throughout the Continental US, Mexico and Alaska. He flew search and rescue for Joe Arpaio of Maricopa County Sheriffs Office and Civil Air Patrol.
After 911 happened he helped form the Maricopa County Special Ops Air Posse and flew for ACTIC (Arizona Counter Terrorism Information Center), the US Air Force and the FBI flying covert operations. They were the only planes actively flying anywhere in the US in the months following.
He and his wife Cara were extras in the made for TV hit show "The Chosen.". They played a Jewish couple, it was filmed in Midlothian, Texas.
He was a collector of antique cars and enjoyed working in his fabrication shop, flying his planes from his private airstrip and traveling around the country and Europe. Stan attended Washington High School (Phoenix, AZ) class of 1964
