Theodore Zabitch Wilson passed away on August 7, 2017. He was born in Detroit, Michigan on March 25, 1926. He was a ward of the Whaley Children's Home in Flint, Michigan and lived with several foster families. In 1944 he graduated from Byron High School, Byron, Michigan. After graduation he joined the U.S. Navy and served on the LST 1091. He married Jean Adams on August 27, 1949. After leaving the Navy he attended Central Michigan University in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan and graduated in 1950. He went to work for General Motors in Flint, Michigan. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and
playing golf. After retiring in 1983, they moved to Wickenburg, Arizona. They fell in love with the desert and spent many days exploring, camping and having good times with their family and friends. While recovering from heart surgery, he got interested in writing. He wrote three books. Volunteering with different organizations also became part of his life. He leaves behind, his wife Jean, son Craig (Sue) Wilson of Cape Canaveral, Florida, daughter Patti (Gerald) Clavette of Wickenburg, grandson Dominic Giovannini (Meghan) of Highland, Michigan, granddaughter Jami Giovannini of Tempe, Arizona, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, five brothers and son-in-law Keith Giovannini.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Wickenburg Funeral Home, Wickenburg, Arizona. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wickenburg Wise Owl Senior Center, or the Whaley Children's Home, Flint, Michigan.
