Thomas Overman

Thomas E. Overman, age 74, went home to with his Lord on Nov. 7, 2014. He was born July 14, 1940 in Greenwood, Wisconsin to Meric V. Overman and Evelyn J. Ericson-Overman. Tom graduated from Neillsville, WI High School later earned Bachelor of Arts in Education from University of Wisconsin and a Masters in Education from the Univ. of Arizona. He taught in Green Bay, WI and also at Amphitheater High School in Tucson, AZ. He moved to Alaska in 1968 and served as Principal in Ninilchik, AK from 1968 to 1970 and Seldovia, AK from 1970 to 1979 and Associate Superintendant at Soldotria, AK from 1979 to 1988. Tom retired from the Kenai Peninsula Borough School District in 1988 moving to Salome, AZ in 1992 where he served as Superintendent at Bicentenial High School from 1992 to 1996. Tom is survived by his wife Sharon Blakley Overman of Salome, sons: Karl (Susan) Overman of Tucson, Az, Kurt (Lisa) Overman of Falls Church, VA, and Meric (Kathy) Overman of Chadds Ford, PA, sister Kay Johnson of Neillsville, WI, brother Jerry (Lynn) Overman of Black River Falls, WI, and mother in law Helen G. Blakley, grandchildren: Kristina, Chase Overman of Tuscon, AZ, Angellena, Gabriella Overman of Falls Church, VA, Andrew, Adam, Alexa Overman of Chadds Ford, PA. A memorial service will be held on December 29th at the Wenden Bible Church in Wenden, Arizona
