William "Bill" Inderwies, age 72, passed away surrounded by his family in Queen Creek, Arizona April 26, 2012. He was born January 4, 1940 in Washington, D.C. to William Andrew Inderwies and Lillian Dorothy Smallwood Inderwies. Bill served in the U.S. Airforce from 1957 to 1963. He later began working in communications with Contel & GTE Telephone and eventually Verizon retiring as an executive engineer. Bill was a member of the Son of the American Revolution, Chula Vista PD Reserves, National City PD Reserves and the San Diego Sheriff's Alkido Club. He came to Arizona in 2000 settling in Wickenburg. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Bill is survived by daughters: Cindy Cunningham, Cheryl Chappel, Candi Harbour, Catherine Ogello and Rebecca (Lewis) Murphy a sister Pam Devine and brother George Inderwies. 14 Grandchildren and 2 Great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 3, 2012 at 10:00 AM at the Wickenburg Ward Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints with interment and military honors to follow in the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona in Phoenix at 1:30 PM.
