William Edward Snedecor, age 76, passed away on August 10th, 2017 surrounded by his family at his home in Wickenburg, Arizona. Bill was born the oldest of three children on June 20th, 1941 in Riverside, CA. He was preceded in death by his mother Marjorie Doig and his father Robert Snedecor. He attended Corona High School and most proudly the University of Southern California graduating in 1964. He married his bride of 40 years, Roberta (Young) Snedecor on April 12, 1977 in Chula Vista, California. In 1986 his entrepreneurial spirit took him to Lake Havasu City, Az where he moved with his young family to open a True Value Hardware store that he successfully ran for 20 years. He established himself as a pillar of community leadership and philanthropy as an active Rotarian and hospital board president. The Lake Havasu City Chamber of Commerce awarded him Citizen of the Year in 1990. In 2005, the empty nesters "retired" to Wickenburg, Az to be closer to their children and grandchildren and again he became an esteemed real estate entrepreneur and community patron. Bill was so many things to so many people; he was an Eagle Scout, a banker, a restaurant owner, a hardware store owner, a real estate investor, a chairman of the board, a club president, a commissioner, a committeeman, benefactor, and proud patriarch of his family. A lover of the outdoors, sunsets and thunderstorms, the heavens mourned with us as Bill peacefully breathed his last in the midst of a tremendous monsoon thunderstorm. He is survived by his wife Roberta, his sisters Virginia and Susanne, his four children Janet, Mark, Stuart, and Christine, and seven grandchildren. His loss is deeply felt by all who had the joy of knowing him. A memorial celebration will be held at 3:00pm on August 19th, 2017 at the Los Caballeros Golf Club in Wickenburg, AZ.
